Autumn Tour Around Wyre Forest

Each year, as part of my Coach Trips programme, I organise one known as the Autumn Colours Tour, where we endeavour to look at a wooded area and see the trees at their Autumnal best, while visiting three nice towns for about an hour each.

The Autumn Colours Tour in 2010 was "Wyre Forest Tour", and it proved to be just as successful as the others.

We left St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester as usual, and proceeded in a Westerly direction until we arrived at Hatton (Warwickshire) Country World, where we made our stop, and most of the party bought coffee, cakes etc.

The first proper stop was Kidderminster, famous for its carpet production.

After that it was Bewdley, the very attractive little town on the River Severn.

While driving through the forest, we stopped a couple of times, at Great Witley and Far Forest, where lots of photographs were taken.

The final stop of the three was Bridgnorth, also on the Severn. Many of the party availed themselves of the Cliff Railway, the funicular railway that links the High and Low Towns.

On the way back, we stopped at Norton Canes Services.

Everybody enjoyed the trip. The Autumn Colours Tour in 2011 will be "New Forest Tour".
