Sun Inn (Saffron Walden)
The Sun Inn is a very attractive old building in the exquisite Essex market town of Saffron Walden.
It stands, as part of a group of similar houses, at the corner of Market Hill and Church Street.
They date from the 14th century, and are timber framed with jettied upper floors and the traditional Essex plaster enrichment of pargeting.
On the wall of the Sun Inn are two pargeted figures, of the folk hero Tom Hickathrift and the Wisbech Giant.
