Brewhouse Yard (Nottingham)
Brewhouse Yard is a fascinating museum in Nottingham.
At the bottom of the Castle Rock, it is a row of 17th century houses next to the Old Trip to Jerusalem. The houses belonged to the castle brewery.
It is now a museum of bygones,
Like a number of other properties in Nottingham, rooms are cut out of the sandstone at the rear. These were used as service and cooking areas.
