Newark Northgate Station (Newark)

Newark Northgate is one of two railway stations which serve the historic old town of Newark in Nottinghamshire. The other is Newark Castle Station.

It is situated within a few minutes walk of the Market Place.

The station has a large clock, constructed by Potts and Sons of Leeds.

Newark Northgate Station is on the main line from Kings Cross Station in London. Trains reach Newark via Huntingdon, Peterborough and Grantham, and continue to Doncaster, York, Durham, Newcastle-on-Tyne and Edinburgh.

A branch line formerly ran to Melton Mowbray, Hallaton and Market Harborough.
