1 and 2 Kensington Court (London)

1 and 2 Kensington Court are interesting houses in London.

They are situated in the Kensington district.

The original Kensington Court was a mansion from the Restoration period, near Kensington Palace, which later became a school and then an asylum.

It was replaced in the 1880s by a new development, also called Kensington Court, by the developer Jonathan Carr, who engaged J. J. Stevenson as architect.

The houses are built in the Queen Anne and Gothic Revival styles, and one is now a hotel.
