Ingatestone Hall (Ingatestone)

Ingatestone Hall is a large house at the Essex village of Ingatestone.

It is situated in Hall Road.

The hall was built in the 16th century by Sir William Petrie, who was Secretary of State to four monarchs. The Petrie family still reside there.

There are family portraits, furniture, and a collection of memorabilia dating back centuries.

The hall was built on the site of the manor of Barking Abbey.
