Garrick`s Temple (Hampton Court)
Garrick`s Temple is an interesting building at Hampton Court.
It is situated in Hampton Court Road.
The actor-manager David Garrick built the Temple in 1756, as part of his campaign to promote interest in the genius of William Shakespeare.
The Temple was restored between 1997 and 1999, and it now houses an exhibition of Garrick`s life and acting career.
The grounds have ben landscaped to follow their original 18th century layout.
