St. Mary`s Church (Fordwich)

St. Mary`s is the parish church of Fordwich, the pretty little former borough near Canterbury.

It is mainly 13th century, but contains a Norman window.

The West tower also dates from the 13th century.

There are box pews, and a Norman font.

The church contains an ancient tomb, which is believed locally to be the one in which St. Augustine was buried.
