St. George`s Church (Bristol)

St. George`s is a historic former church in Bristol.

It is situated in Great George Street.

St. George`s was a Georgian church, built in 1821 to 1823 by Robert Smirke in the Greek Revival style. It is Grade II* listed.

A Waterloo church, it was built as a chapel of ease to Bristol Cathedral.

It was converted into a concert hall in 1987, and the crypt houses a cafe and an art gallery.
