St. Michael`s Church (Blaston)

St. Michael`s Church at Blaston in Leicestershire is a picturesque ruin.

Now set in a field, it was a mediaeval church rebuilt as a one cell church in 1868, and designed and paid for by Rev. G. C. Fenwicke.

Fenwicke built St. Giles Church in the village in 1878, and this is now used as the parish church.

St. Michael`s was largely demolished in 1967, but the ruins can be freely visited.
