Carsington Water
Carsington Water is a large reservoir in Derbyshire, 5 miles from Matlock.
Its position on the edge of the Peak District means that it gets a fair amount of visitors.
Carsington Water is owned by Severn Trent Water, and opened in 1992.
It is beautifully landscaped, and on the Western shore there is a Visitor Centre with a cafe.
