Appledore
Appledore is a picturesque village in Kent, 5 miles from Tenterden and on the edge of Romney Marsh.
The Royal Military Canal passes close by.
The village was sacked and virtually destroyed in one of the raids by the French, but rose again.
The pretty little green outside the church was once the Market Place.
