Whitstable Station (Whitstable)

Whitstable Station is the railway station that serves the Kent resort of Whitstable.

Trains for Whitstable from London leave from Victoria Station, and come by way of Rochester, Chatham and Faversham.

They continue to Herne Bay, Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate.

Whitstable Harbour (closed in 1931) and Whitstable Town (closed in 1915) were stations on the line from Canterbury, known locally as the Crab and Winkle Line.

This was one of the first railways in the world, the first to carry passengers and the first to provide a link to a port. The line closed in 1953.
