Thirsk Station (Thirsk)

Thirsk Station is the railway station serving the old Yorkshire market town of Thirsk.

The station is situated about a mile from the town centre.

Trains for Thirsk come from Kings Cross Station in London, via Peterborough, Newark, Doncaster and York.

They continue to Darlington, Durham, Newcastle-on-Tyne and Edinburgh.

There was formerly another station, Thirsk Town, which closed in 1855.

Another line ran from Thirsk to Ripon.
