Ancient House (Thetford)

The Ancient House is a historic building at Thetford in Norfolk.

It is situated in White Hart Street.

The house was built about 1500, and has close studded walls of oak and daub, and a jettied upper floor.

Prince Duleep Singh, owner of nearby Elvedon Hall and son of the last ruler of the Punjab, bought the Ancient House in 1921 and presented it to the town to be used as a museum.
