Quarry Bank Mill (Styal)
Quarry Bank Mill is a unique attraction at Styal in Cheshire.
It is situated on the Styal estate.
The mill is a water powered mill, with steam engines operating daily.
There are live demonstrations and interpretative museum exhibits, while Apprentice House tours show the harsh life endured by pauper children.
The site has a gift shop, restauranrt and snack bar and there are over 15 miles of woodland walks on the estate, which covers 300 acres.
Quarry Bank is now in the care of the National Trust.
