Stowmarket Station (Stowmarket)

Stowmarket Station is the railway station that serves the Suffolk market town of Stowmarket.

It was opened in 1849 in an Eleixabethan style, and is one of the finest stations to be built in the Victorian period. The architect was Frederick Barnes.

Trains come to Stowmarket from Peterborough, by way of March, Ely and Bury St. Edmunds.

They continue to Needham Market and Ipswich.

Another line runs Northwards to Diss and Norwich.
