Southend Pier Museum (Southend)
Southend Pier Museum is a fascinating attraction in the major Essex seaside resort of Southend.
It is situated in the old pier workshop among the buildings at the entrance to Southend Pier, close to the terminus of the pier railway.
The museum tells the story of the pier, which was originally built to allow steamers to reach the town, even at low tide.
There are also pictures and antique slot machines.
