Shugborough Hall (Shugborough)

Shugborough Hall is an impressive house at Shugborough in Staffordshire.

The house was started in 1604, and was inherited in 1720 by Thomas Anson, whose brother George became a celebrated admiral. George`s fortune made at sea paid for the rebuilding of the house.

Shugborough Hall is full of objets d`art, and was the home of Patrick Lichfield, the Queen`s cousin, one of Britain`s finest photographers.

Today it is managed by the National Trust.
