St. Peter and St. Paul Church (Shepton Mallet)

St. Peter and St. Paul Church is the parish church of Shepton Mallet in Somerset.

The church largely dates from the 15th century, but was founded in the Saxon period, and the Saxon walls form the basis for the present nave. There are massive Norman arcade piers.

The lofty tower was built around 1380.

St. Peter and St. Paul Church is particularly noteworthy for its exceptional wagon roof, created in the 15th century.

The stone pulpit dates from around 1530.
