Salisbury Station (Salisbury)

Salisbury Station is the railway station which serves the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury.

It is situated just a few minutes walk from the city centre.

The original station was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and a goods shed from this station survives. The present building was constructed in 1900.

Trains from London leave from Waterloo Station, and arrive by way of Woking and Basingstoke. They continue to Exeter, Plymouth and Penzance.

Salisbury is also on an important cross country line, with trains from Portsmouth and Southampton, and continuing to Bath and Bristol.

Another station in Salisbury, which closed in 1932, ran services to Wilton.
