King`s House (Salisbury)

The King`s House is a mediaeval mansion in Salisbury.

It is situated in The Close.

The house belonged to the Bishops of Sherborne, before being seized by the Crown at the Dissolution of the Monasteries, when it became the King`s House.

In 1851, it became a training college for schoolmistresses, before its current use as a museum.
