Rochester Station (Rochester)

Rochester Station is the railway station serving the historic cathedral city of Rochester in Kent.

It is situated off the High Street, the long street which is actually Watling Street and connects Rochester with Chatham.

Trains for Rochester leave from Charing Cross Station in London, and come by way of Greenwich, Dartford and Gravesend.

Another line from London begins at Victoria Station, and comes via Brixton, Beckenham and Bromley.

Trains continue to Chatham and Faversham, and then either Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate or Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone.

There was formerly a short branch line running through Rochester Bridge and Rochester Common to Chatham Central.
