Purfleet Heritage and Military Centre (Purfleet)
Purfleet Heritage and Military Centre is a fascinating attraction at Purfleet in Essex.
It is housed in Magazine No 5 in Centurion Way.
The building is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, which was built in 1760, for the storage of Black Powder.
Today it is a museum of local history and military matters, with a fine setting beside the River Thames.
