The Bate Collection is a museum of musical instruments in Oxford.

It is situated at the Faculty of Music in St. Aldates.

Philip Bate (1909 - 1999) began collecting as a 12 year old in Edinburgh, and continued with his hobby throughout his career as a musical direcor with the BBC.

The collection includes harpichords, crumhorns, sackbuts, serpents, bagpipes and plenty of other better known instruments. A veritable storehouse of music.
