Manchester Piccadilly Station (Manchester)

Manchester Piccadilly Station is the major railway station in the great Northern city of Manchester.

Originally known as London Road Station, it was built in 1862 by Mills and Murgatroyd of Manchester, and largely rebuilt between 1959 and 1966, with an office block by Richard Seifert added in 1968.

Trains leave Piccadilly for destinations all over the country, including Liverpool, London and Sheffield.

Other stations in Manchester city centre are Deansgate Station, Manchester Oxford Road Station and Manchester Victoria Station.
