Ludford Bridge (Ludlow)

Ludford Bridge is an interesting structure in the historic old town of Ludlow.

It is situated outside the Broad Gate in what was effectively Ludlow`s first suburb, with modest cottages that were home to workers in the cloth and glove making industries.

The bridge is made of stone and was built in the 15th century. A narrow bridge with massive cutwaters, it crosses the River Teme to Ludford and is still used by a geat deal of traffic.
