St. Cyprian Clarence Gate (London)

St. Cyprian Clarence Gate is a fascinating church in London.

It is situated in Glentworth Street, which runs parallel with the North end of Baker Street.

St. Cyprian`s was commissioned in the 1890s by Viscount Portman, the owner of the land in this district, and the architect he chose was the young Ninian Comper.

He created a beautiful nave with tall, slender arches in the Perpendicular style, and a superbly painted ceiling.
