Mansion House (London)

The Mansion House is one of the most important buildings in the City of London.

It is situated at the major street intersection where Poultry, Victorias Street, Threadneedle Street, Cornhill and Lombard Street, among otherrs, meet, and where Bank Station is below ground.

The 18th century Mansion House is the residence of the Lord Mayor of London.

The Egyptian Hall, or dining room, is used for many ceremonial and state occasions.

The Mansion House, with its six giant columns on the frontage, was designed with superb Palladian simplicity by George Dance the Younger.
