Dinas Bran (Llangollen)
Dinas Bran is a spectacular castle ruin overlooking Llangollen in North Wales.
It was the home of Madoc ap Gruffydd Maelor, the founder of nearby Valle Crucis Abbey, but was already being described as a ruin in 1578.
The castle can be reached by crossing the River Dee and climbing the road past the Canal Basin.
