St. Mary`s Church (Little Wakering)
St. Mary`s Church is the parish church of the village of Little Wakering in Essex.
The splendid West tower was the gift of Bishop John de Wakering, a local man who rose to be Bishop of Norwich, in the 15th century. It has a tall recessed spire.
There are Norman windows in the nave and chancel.
The church retains its rood stair doorways, as well as the actual stairs.
