Lakeside Station (Lakeside)

Lakeside Station is situated at Lakeside in Cumbria.

This is a popular location in the Lake District, at the Southern end of Windermere.

It is the terminus of the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, on which steam trains operate to Haverthwaite.

This line was a branch which ran from Cark and Cartmel, and opened in 1869, closing in 1965.

The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway now runs for three miles.

There is an interchjange between the trains and Windermere Lake Cruises, which operate to Bowness-on-Windermere.
