Fox Talbot Museum (Lacock)

The Fox Talbot Museum is an excellent specialised museum at Lacock.

It is housed in the historic Lacock Abbey.

The museum celebrates the pioneer of photography, William Fox Talbot, who lived here. In 1839, he succeeded in fixing an image, which can fairly be said to be the birth of photography, a term coined by Siw William Herschel, the astonomer.

There are many images created by Fox Talbot
