Kettering Station (Kettering)

Kettering Station serves the Northamptonshire town of Kettering.

It was designed by C. H. Driver and opened in 1857. The canopies over the platforms are particularly outstanding.

Trains from London leave from St. Pancras Station, and run via St. Albans, Luton and Bedford. They continue to Market Harborough, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield.

A line runs Northwards from Kettering via Corby to join the line running through Rutland at Oakham. This runs over the spectacular Harringworth Viaduct, but is only used when the main line is closed for maintenance work.

Another line formerly ran to Huntingdon, St. Ives (Cambridgeshire) and Ely.
