Levens Hall (Kendal)

Levens Hall is a historic house at Kendal in Cumbria.

Around a 13th century pele tower has been built a handsome Elizabethan house, which contains fine furniture, plasterwork and panelling, as well as an excellent art collection.

The gardens were laid out in the 17th century for Colonel James Grahame by Monsieur Beaumont. They contain much topiary and are of national importance.
