St. Mary`s Church (Ilford)

St. Mary`s Church is the old parish church of Ilford, in the part of Greater London that was formerlyEssex.

It is situated in the High Road, and was the parish church of the village of Ilford before its 20th century expansion.

St. Mary`s was built by James Savage in 1831, replacing an earlier church.

It is built of yellow brick, and has a slender West tower.

The chancel was added in 1921.
