Guildhall (Harwich)

The Guildhall is one of the historic buildings in the old Essex seaport of Harwich.

It is situated in Church Street.

The Guildhall was built in 1769, and contains the Council Chamber and other fascinating rooms.

In the gaol are unique graffiti depicting ships.

Documents on display show Harwich`s connections with Samuel Pepys, the Pilgrim Fathers and the settlement of Virginia.
