Shibden Hall (Halifax)
Shibden Hall is a historic house at Halifax.
It is situated about a mile outside the town centre.
It is a mediaeval hall house, built in the 15th century, and was restored in Jacobean style by the extraordinary Anne Lister, the house`s owner in the 1830s.
Among the treasures of the house is an English piano made in 1769.
Today the house is in the care of the local authority.
