Greenwich Park (Greenwich)

Greenwich Park is an extensive and beautiful park at Greenwich, near London.

The main entrance is in Blackheath Gate.

Greenwich Park is the oldest enclosed Royal park. Covering 183 acres, it is on a hilltop with impressive, sweeping views across the River Thames to Docklands and the City of London.

It provides the backdrop for such historic buildings as the Royal Naval College, the National Maritime Museum and the Queen`s House.

A large grassland enclosure provides sanctuary for many creatures including fallow deer, foxes, waterfowl and tawny owls.
