Pollok Country Park (Glasgow)

Pollok Country Park is a country park in Glasgow.

The main entrance is in Pollokshaws Road.

Covering 362 acres, it is Glasgow`s largest park, and features wildflower meadows, woodlands, a formal parterre and an ornamental walled garden.

Within the park is Pollok House, built in 1752, and the Burrell Collection, an outstanding collection of internationally famous art, including bronzes by Rodin.

There have been three castles here. A wooden castle was built in 1160. Another, with a fortified tower, was built in 1270. Nether Pollok Castle was built in 1500.
