Landguard Fort (Felixstowe)

Landguard Fort is a historic coastal fortification at Felixstowe in Suffolk.

The site was originally fortified by Henry VIII, as part of his range of castles and fortifications to guard against invasion.

The present building is an impressive 18th century fort, with later additions. It was in use until after the Second World War.

Landguard Fort is now owned by English Heritage.
