St. Simon and St. Jude Church (Earl Shilton)

St. Simon and St. Jude Church is the parish church of the Leicestershire village of Earl Shilton.

The West tower is Perpendicular, but the rest of the church was built in 1856, replacing the church at Elmesthorpe, now in ruins.

The work was started by R. C. Carpenter, but he died in 1855 and it was completed by his pupil W. Slater.

The chancel roof is the work of the first vicar, Rev F. E. Tower.
