Castle Park (Colchester)
Castle Park is a very pleasant public park in the ancient Essex town of Colchester.
It runs downhill from the High Street down to the River Colne.
The park includes the famous Norman Colchester Castle, and a good section of the Roman Walls. Outside the castle is a memorial to the leaders of Colchester's defence in the Civil War siege.
It also contains the cricket ground where Essex play once a year in a Festival.
