Downing College (Cambridge)
Downing College is one of the colleges which collectively make up the world famous Cambridge University.
It is situated in Regent Street.
The college is named after Sir George Downing, whose ancestor was the Downing of Downing Street, and founded with money that he had left in 1807.
The architect was William Wilkins, but others added to his work in the 1980s.
