Corpus Christi College (Cambridge)

Corpus Christi College is one of the colleges that collectively make up the world famous Cambridge University.

It is situated in Trumpington Street.

The oldest residential court in the university, Corpus Christi was founded in 1352 by townsmen of the Guild of the Body of Christ. The Old Court, finished in 1377, is only surpassed in age by Merton College at Oxford.

Christopher Marlowe was a student here.

An alley leads through to St. Bene`t`s Church, where early scholars worshipped.

William Wilkins added the New Court in 1823.
