All Saints Church (Cambridge)

All Saints Church is one of the city centre churches in the historic university city of Cambridge.

The church was a replacement for a local town church in the 1860s, on a small patch of land near to, and donated by, Jesus College. There was very little room and this of course constituted a challenge, but the young G. F. Bodley rose to it in a splendid manner, and was helped by his friends Morris and Burne-Jones.

The spire is said to be based on that at Ashbourne.

All Saints is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
