Assembly Rooms (Buxton)

The Assembly Rooms constitute an elegant building at Buxton.

They are situated in The Crescent.

The Crescent was designed by John Carr of York, and built for the Duke of Devonshire between 1780 and 1789, containing hotels and lodgings in addition to the Assembly Rooms.

The Assembly Rooms are elaborately decorated, with Doric pilasters and a continuous ground floor arcade.
