Burrs Country Park (Bury)

Burrs Country Park is a country park at Bury in Lancashire.

The main entrance is in Woodhill Road, a mile from the town centre.

The park lies on the River Irwell, on reclaimed factory site, one of the earliest industrial sites in the area. Associated with the Peel family, it is overlooked by Castlesteads, believed to be an Iron Age fort.

Within the park are former mill workers` cottages, mill chimney, wheel pit and a stream known as the Burrs goit.

There are also three sculptures.
