Wychbold

Wychbold is a village in Worcestershire, two miles North East of Droitwich.

It can be easily reached from the M5 motorway.

It is essentially an estate village, much of whose housing was built by the local Corbett family, whose fortune came from the salt industry.

The neighbouring village of Stoke Prior has traces of the salt factory originated by John Corbett.

The family also built the parish church, beside a little river, in 1899.

Wychbold is best known today for the giant and very popular gardening centre known as Webbs of Wychbold.
