Wedgwood
Wedgwood is a place in Staffordshire, close to Barlaston village and 3 miles from Stone.
It is here, near Barlaston Hall, that the Wedgwood porcelain factory is situated.
Josiah Wedgwood began his operations at Etruria, between Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, and they were moved to here in the 1940s.
The Wedgwood Visitor Centre is superb, and includes displays of Wedgwood ware from the 1750s onwards, as well as a museum. There is also a tea room.
